Distribution begins of payments to class members over misleading pet leases in Danger v. Nextep Holdings, LLC

July 6, 2021
Greenwald Davidson Radbil PLLC, through claims administrator, First Class, Inc., has begun distribution of class settlement checks in Danger v. Nextep Holdings, LLC f/k/a Nextep Funding, LLC (“Defendant") . Those class members located in Minnesota will receive $478.54 in settlement of their claims.  Class members elsewhere nationwide will receive $100.06.  These amounts differ as a result of Minnesota class members asserting additional claims against Defendant over allegedly usurious pet leases.  Please note the settlement checks will void after October 26, 2021.

LuAnn Danger filed suit against Defendant related to misleading pet leases offered nationwide.  She asserted that these pet leases were truly disguised credit sales carrying exorbitant interest rates of 120% or more without disclosing as much.  The parties settled before the court ruled on Ms. Danger’s claims.
