Hoffman v. Law Office of Fradkin & Weber, P.A., No. 1:19-cv-163-CCB, Doc. 17 (D. Md. July 1, 2019)

If Law Office of Fradkin & Weber, P.A. attempted to collect a debt from you between January 16, 2018 and February 14, 2019, you may benefit from the settlement of this class action lawsuit.

This case is titled Marcia R. Hoffman v. Law Office of Fradkin & Weber, P.A., Case No. 1:19-cv-00163-CCB (D. Md.).

A consumer sued Law Office of Fradkin & Weber, P.A. (“Defendant”) alleging that the company failed to provide certain disclosures when attempting to collect debts, in violation of federal law.

A settlement will provide $17,000.00 (the “Fund”) in statutory damages to fully settle and release claims of all consumers from whom Defendant, between January 16, 2018 and February 14, 2019, attempted to collect consumer debts.

The Fund created by Defendant will be used to pay pro-rata settlement awards to all class members who submit valid, timely claims. Defendant separately will pay statutory damages to the named plaintiff, class counsel’s attorneys’ fees, costs, and expenses, as well as the costs of notice and administration of the settlement.

The Court granted preliminary approval to the settlement in July 2019.
